The Shepherd's Staff
"By faith Jacob, when he was dying . . . leaned on his staff."
In the '70's, recording artist Bill Withers gave us a ballad called, Lean on Me . . . that resonated among all who had ever felt a need to seek help from a friend, from someone who cared enough to listen and perhaps, offer a suggestion or two of guidance. The song offered solace, comfort and encouragement in a world of painful variables. It reminded us that answers are not always obvious, resolution not always possible. Sometimes, we just need a friend.
Lean on me,
When you're not strong
I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For . . .
It won't be long,
I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on.
So just call on me, brother
When you need a hand.
We all need somebody
To lean on.

If you do not consider it presumption, I would be honored to be a staff upon which you can lean in times of suffering, grief or pain. Although often thought to be above the normal concourse of human trauma, men and women who are professionals in ministry, are as subject to the human condition as anyone.
If you are licensed, ordained or otherwise serving in Christian Ministry, then this space is reserved for you. It is intended for those in ministry who themselves seek to be ministered to. This is not a "service offered . . ;" there are no associated costs. This is an honest effort to provide a confidential resource to those who often have few, if any, resource options.
Don't forget your email address. Otherwise, I won't be able to respond to you.
Blessings,
Paul Morris
