Therapeutic Philosophy
Redemptive Therapy subscribes to the school of psychopathological philosophy that finds anxiety or "angst" to be be the primal etiology for non-organic, non-brain-trauma mental dysfunction.
The core therapeutic premise of Redemptive Therapy is the enabling of one's
ontological intimacy (one's deepest nature -- ground of being) with God.

HEADING

We are not discussing an intellectual or even a theological proposition here.
We wish to affirm the authenticity of a personal, private connection with God. We do not speak
of "belief" or even faith, but of real-time, tangible, intimate connectedness with
the God whose wrath was exhausted at the cross, and at which time, justice for sin/evil was served. We speak of personal, ontological connectedness with a God of Love and Mercy. We speak here of connectedness between God's ground of Being and an individual's ground of Being.
The connectedness of which we speak is the gift that Jesus brought us. It is a gift
without which no human being can be whole or complete. Engendering this in a
patient's consciousness constitutes fundamental entree into therapy. Enabling this is
the focus and rationale of therapy.

Mission Statement
The Institute for Redemptive Therapy seeks to:
- Bring a new construct, a more functional and effective approach to the old struggle between theology and psychology. Much has been touted for the integration of theology and psychology. Redemptive Therapy has successfully engendered something entirely different, a syncretism, or the coalesence of the two disciplines creating an entirely separate and unique discipline.
- Provide substantive healing for broken lives, establishing an ongoing constructive and purpose-driven human condition for all patients under care.
Specialties and Uniquenesses
Redemptive Therapy builds upon love and loving responsibility rather than
religious law and authoritarianism. It seeks to establish self-administration,
self-authenticity and interactive, mutual intimacy with God. God's purposes depend on
our ability to function within the framework of the specific, individual purpose for which he created us.
As anxiety pathologies are our primary focus, we concentrate on obsessive-compulsive disorder, major clinical depression, marriage and family issues, childhood and adolescent development, and ego-dystonic sexual orientation and/or dysfunction.
Lastly, we are dedicated and committed Life Coaches. We are very concerned that an individual is aware of life-purpose, setting life-objectives and experiencing the satisfaction and contentment of achieving them.
